Implant Crown or Bridge
Gaps in the smile can often be uncomfortable and embarrassing. Dental implants by Dr. Park provide an excellent solution for patients with one or more missing teeth.
Unlike dentures or removable bridges, dental implants are surgically placed in the jawbone to provide lasting, secure results that feel and function like your natural teeth. Through a process called "osseo-integration", the microscopic pits and grooves of the titanium implant will thoroughly integrate with the bone matter which will soon fill in the surgically disturbed area.
After the strong titanium roots have been implanted and the bone has healed, Dr. Park will restore the implanted root by attaching a beautiful porcelain crown to the implant, thus creating a functional, natural smile that you can be proud of.
Other benefits of dental implants from Dr. Park include the preservation of bone mass and proper bite, which can prevent future problems with the jaw and surrounding teeth. Single-implant crowns functions like an ordinary tooth, allowing normal use including individual flossing.
Additionally, when replacing a single missing tooth, a single implant may be a more affordable and clinically superior method of replacement than a 3-unit bridge (supporting crowns on either side of a middle crown which fills the gap).
